EA Proxy Installer after Sims 3 Update

I downloaded The Sims 3 yesterday. Today, I updated it, because it was outdated. So when it finished, EA Legacy Proxy Installer asked for permission. It's an exe inside Origin's Program Files folder. But it only popped up with this. I want to know what it is, what it will do on my computer if I give it permission and if it is safe to give it permission. I'm running Windows 8.
