Error during startup (HELP NEEDED)

I've been playing Sims 3 for a while, and I wanted to get some expansion packs. I decided to just buy an expansion pack(Pets). When I opened the Pets launcher, it said 'Error during starup. &nbsp...

    I have removed the solution for you.

    For next time, you should be able to do it yourself from the options menu.

    I would uninstall the entire game and reinstall what you legally own.

    Make sure there's nothing left over from Seasons.

the reasons it still wants seasons to play is your computer "thinks" seasons is still there and as pets is older than seasons the game always plays from the newest installed game getting torrents is just asking for trouble as they can mess up your computer or give it  virus's and may be illegal so you may have to search your entire computer to get rid of the left over files and regestiry keys

see if this will help you find some of the files and keys https://help.ea.com/article/the-sims-3-seasons-manual-uninstall   also get ccleaner from piriform here  there is a free version run that a few times to assist with cleaning out your left over files/regestiry keys

    Well, what you just explained isn't my problem anymore. What I meant with it was that after I deleted the Seasons torrent, the 'error during startup' message came.

        But I only have the game in Origins, I don't have a disc, and I don't know if it's safe to uninstall there, because I'm afraid I'm gonna lose my games.  I used 27 dollars on Pets, and then I have The Sims 3, Late Night and High End Loft Stuff. But if I have to uninstall, is it all four of the games?
