You have 25 GB of hard disk space left which nowadays is not a whole lot but I would think it should work to install the patch.

Your computer is overall a bit weak but that has nothing to do with the error.

Do try if you can free up some disc space. Delete your temp files in windows\temp and other temp files. You can use a tool called cclearer to help you with that.

my computer doesn't have a lot on except a few hp games and essential things i use, i keep it fairly clear and scan it regularly with defrag, cleanup and mcafee, but i shall try this too 🙂 

:/ update still isn't working. it still gets right to the end before this message pops up that says: Update error: I/O operation failed (attribute modification)

and it also says something about the wizard being interrupted before it could finish, which is silly because nothing else was running on my computer except the update wizard, and i didn't touch it the whole time it was trying to update........ ugh.... 

that other message that i got before didn't come up this time though... 

I/O message is because of antivirus/Firewall 99% of the time.

i tried turning my firewall off but that didn't work either :/ think i might wait for the next update and see if i have the same problem or something.... im a bit fed up with trying now xD thank you so much for your help anyway though 🙂

So, I tried downloading the newest patch from SIMS4 and it wouldnt work, and I tried it twice. Now its not even showing up to offer an update and I can't play my game at all. I've restarted my computer and Origin twice.
