Question

I play sims 3 in my mac, and resently I've been havinf some serious issues that have made it IMPOSSIBLE for me to play the game.

This is what happens, a message pops up in the laucher or during the game, with a 'yes' or 'no' option '' Exception raised, Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x78302c38 at address x1001c0bb. Do you wish to debug it?'' it closes it no matter what I click. This is the message that pops up, and there you can se the expansion packs I own as well. http://tinypic.com/r/sqttly/6

During the game it happens just when the family I've selected was finish loading and the game is supposed to begin.... Insted I get this: http://tinypic.com/r/2363kp/6 and the game quits inmediatly so I'm unable to play, not even for a second.

Also, I don't have mods or third party custon content

And this are my specs:

MacBookPro9,2

OS X 10.8.3 (12D78)

Intel Core i5

Processor Speed:2.5 GHz

Memory: 4GB

When that error happens when you have the launcher open, it is usually caused by bad custom content. Are you sure you don't have any? Have you downloaded anything from the Exchange because you could have some from there?

As far as the third image/error, it looks like something may have been corrupted recently. Try going to Applications>Disk Utility> and click "Repair Permissions" if that option is available. That will help you clean some registry stuff on a Mac.

When the "exception raised" error happens during game play, about 20 minutes in or longer, or while you're in CAS, that's related to Cider. There is nothing you can do about that error; there is no solution to it. I'm not sure how much troubleshooting you've already tried, but here's some advice:

If you actually want to "play" the game as it's supposed to work, then get a PC or Bootcamp & Windows for your Mac. The game is not natively written for our systems (I have a mid-2009 Macbook Pro). As long as EA uses Cider, a "wrapper" for the game that enables Macs to play Windows games, it's going to crash with memory issues.

Do not follow EA game advisors' advice without taking into account that many times their advice is wrong for Mac users and can harm our systems. If EA's customer support tells you to open Activity Monitor and quit processes - DO NOT DO IT. Your Mac will freeze resulting in you needing to power it off using the Power button which can be harmful. This is the first "solution" they tell all Mac users to do. Just use common sense when it comes to their "advice."

I don't have any custom content, and I already tried repairing the permissions. and this message happens when the game hasn't even started! it happens when I select the family and it starts to load and in the laucher! I can't play not even 20 minutes :'(

Is it one specific family or any family?&nbsp; If it's one particular one, something might be corrupt with that file.&nbsp;
