Existing Pets and Enrolling at the University

I owned a lot with a couple, their cat and their horse. When I enrolled my Sims in University, they left the house and entered a new map in which I had to choose living accommodations. I don't know...

that just means your still at uni and can carry on with your uni game... like with world adventures if I sent 3 sims to france and send two home the remaining sim is the one I look after in france as he or she depending on who I keep the game considers that world adventures is the one been played with when that sim finally goes home everyone else is where they should be

Well, I sent one home and instead of being able to toggle back and forth to take care of my pets and my sim in the university, now I can only take care of the sim still in the university. /sigh
