Failure to launch
Have game on Windows 7 PC and it won't launch anymore, have uninstalled and reinstalled twice with no luck, any thoughts?

JSTUBE32 Please manually uninstall and reinstall the VC++ 2005 x86 runtime, which Sims 3 uses. Click Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, click on the version that says 2005 (it won't say x86, but that's the one you want anyway), and select Uninstall. Don't touch the newer versions, but do uninstall any duplicates of the 2005 runtime that do NOT say x64. You can download the a fresh copy of the runtime directly from Microsoft:

You only need the x86 version, not the other two. Restart your computer after installing and before trying to play.
