Family keeps crashing game!! HELP!!!!!

I have uninstalled the pets expansion pack. But now The family that had pets keeps crashing the game, and i dont know how to stop it.

    You could reinstall pets to get that family to work But if you dont want pets..You can go into edit town, click on the family household and save to library. When you save to library the file will be found under move in household. Where your premade households would be found. This will save all the famiy info than you can place them in the same town again or use them to start a new game. Delete the animals in their houshold before you save to library, You could then remove pets EP again if you want and start the family off in a new game without petsEP installed

    If you uninstall an EP from a game that already had a save when that EP was installed it will mess up the save. Did you remove the pets from that household before uninstalling pets?

    Will the game actually start? If you can get the game to start without pets being installed you can try saving that family to library, deleting the family in game and replacing them with the new file you saved in library. You will have to start over with their relationsips in town but they will keep their jobs and any family relationships that are in the hosehold. They will stil keep all their inventory and all the money they have.

    I can get the game to start. but not that family. what do you mean by saving the family to libary, and would it be worth reinstalling the EP to get it to work?

    You welcome. !! I have sort of the same problem. I checked off no celebs after the fact I started playing and saved. Now I cant get rid of the celeb issue. My sims are accused of doing something wrong every day!! I will have to move my family out and start them in a new game to see if it fixes the problem.
