Feature Transfer Error: The Sims 3 supernatural

I had to uninstall my Sims supernatural game a couple times to get it to work correctly and then the third time I installed it while it was installing it said Feature transfer error then it said file: d:/gamedata/shared/packages/fullbuild_p15 package error: incorrect function then it says try again or cancel so I click try again then the same thing comes up again while installing again and it never did this before! So I try everything I try to uninstall all of my Sims game and I don't know what to do! Please help! Its been like this all weekend. ☹️

    First guess is your getting a crc errors. The file is 856mb in size. The problem is the sustained data rate of the optical drive. You could try to defrag your hard drive. Defrag has worked at times. This seems to be a problem in the software in the optical drive. There may be downloadable patches for the optical drive but the patches are hard to find and may not fix the problem. As the optical drive is a mechanical device the fastest repair procedure is to substitute a known good drive and see if the problem goes away. Another way would be to install the digital download version (free) from Origin.
