Hi guys,
Few follow up questions,
Do you by chance know what your Sim was trying to do when it froze?
Was it in your home world or had you been traveling a lot?
Was it with a save game you've had for a while?
Thanks!
The game that I had to abandon was mostly played at University with 2 short trips to OL.
I think it is going to be extremely difficult to identify what combinations of actions might trigger the error. In my case, the corruption of the clock was very gradual. I have a fairly good computer so when I get mild lag I don't recognize it immediately. It's sorta like the chicken pox. You are contagious before you know you are sick. So what happens when the clock skips every other second? I just don't notice it. But with continued play it gets worse - skipping 5 seconds at a time. You are probably starting to notice but you can still play. It keeps getting worse until everything just slows to a near stop. I was in Midnight Hollow when I noticed the problem. But I went back to a previous save when my sim was at University and the lag was every bit as bad there. And I hadn't even noticed any lag being present there when I saved that older stage of the game.
So what Cyron is reporting makes a lot of sense. Once the error occurs you will probably get it in any game you load up and if you save over that game while you are having the error the saved game is toast.
