[Current Issue] Sims 3 Store world can't register/install
Overview This guide is for registering and installing standalone worlds from the Sims 3 Store, specifically those bought with money. That list includes Dragon Valley, Hidden Springs, Monte Vista, Roaring Heights, and sometimes Barnacle Bay. If you bought a Store world with SimPoints and it's not appearing in your purchase history on the Store site, please contact EA customer support and request that the SimPoints from the failed purchase be added back to your account. How to register a Store world jump to: My code doesn't work jump to: I can't install the world When you purchase a standalone Sims 3 world from Origin or the EA App, you should receive an email confirmation from EA. If you don't see this, check your spam filter. This email should include one product code per item, as shown here in the blacked-out red box: IMPORTANT: Some players have reported finding their product codes on ea.com, under Account Settings > Order History, so please look there as well. If you never received this email and it's not in your spam folder, please contact EA customer support. https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/ You'll want the live chat option, not email, so you can explain the issue to a real person in real time. If you don't see the live chat option, try again in a private browsing window (or another browser), and continue as a guest rather than signing in. Otherwise, go to this site: https://store.thesims3.com/ Sign in with the same email address and password that you use for other EA sites, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click "Redeem a Code." Enter the code you've received, and the world should appear in your account. You can then download it from your purchase history (Store > My Store Account > Purchase History) or its product page. https://store.thesims3.com/worldProductDetail.html?categoryId=12642 ↑ My code doesn't work If you are sure you've never used this code, but the Store site tells you it's invalid or already been redeemed, you'll need to contact EA customer support to ask for a refund. https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/ I strongly recommend using live chat rather than email. If you don't see the option, change the location in your browser window to U.S. or U.K., or choose a slightly different category of issue. Or use a private browsing window, or a different browser, and continue as a guest rather than signing in. If EA support doesn't help, please say so in this thread. If support does help, please post anyway letting me know what world(s) caused the issue so we can look for patterns. ↑ I can't install the world If you're getting the "there are no packages to install" error, please see this post: Re: Sims 3 Launcher "There are no packages to install" | EA Forums - 11190163 The standard way to download a world is to go to its product page or open your purchase history (Store > My Store Account > Purchase History), then click the Download button. If this isn't working for you, try a different browser. Firefox generally works best with the Store site. It is generally unnecessary to sign into the launcher before attempting to download or install Store content. However, this has helped some players, so it's worth trying. Mac users only: if you see an Error Downloading Content {0}, please repair the game in Origin, restart your computer, and try again. If the world still won't download properly, try a clean Sims 3 user folder. Rename the existing "The Sims 3" folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, open the launcher to create a new folder, and try to download only that world. If it works, you can move the downloaded world from the new Sims 3 folder to the old one you renamed, trash the new folder, and change the old one's name back to "The Sims 3." Downloaded Store items are found in the Downloads subfolder and have the extension .Sims3Pack. Be sure to delete any older downloads of the world before moving over the fresh copy. If the world downloads properly but doesn't install, please try a clean Sims 3 user folder as well. Rename the existing "The Sims 3" folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, open the launcher to create a new folder, download only that world, and try to install it. If this works, you can install the rest of your Store content into that folder, then move over your saves and any other files you'd like to keep. Please see this guide for a list. If reinstalling all of your Store content would be a burden, or you're confused about another part of this process, please ask for further help in this thread. ↑20KViews9likes742CommentsLauncher crashes when I open the downloads tab in Sims 3

Hi folks. I really want to try and make a custom world for something specific, but of course EA is like "haha forget u and ur desire to use the products u spent literally hundreds of dollars on" right? I am running Windows 11 on a powerful gaming tower that a friend of mine built and gave to me a few years back. So, I originally bought it on Steam, I tried every workaround I could, but ultimately the GameData folder is only partial, not total? I don't completely understand how that works. No, I don't at all understand it, actually. So, I tried downloading the entire game through the EA app because I read that it would provide me with the complete GameData. It does not. It still only has some bare-bones information and thus CAW can't validate that I do, in fact, own the game. So... What do? Is it fruitless? Is there a work-around? Is there a safe source to obtain the GameData that is legal? Or a way to make it so CAW doesn't check if I own the game, since EA clearly doesn't support CAW actually *checking the data it demands?*67Views0likes4CommentsGame crashed and EA locked my account
I am really frustrated with EA at this point and I am really upset that my game crashed and they locked me out my account. I got a message that read serious error and it said to restart the application. I tried repairing the game, uninstalling the game and looked for fixes online to help. Nothing happened. Then when I was finally getting somewhere EA locked my account. I changed the password and it works here but it doesn't work on the EA App. The game loads but I cannot play any of my towns because I have a new error message that I have missing packs. None of my packs are missing. I understand why so many people dislike EA. It crashes and there's no real solutions. Now I have add ons that do not work.53Views0likes1CommentMissing Objects Warning after travelling from University
Hello! If anyone could help with this I'd be really appreciative! I recently got the University Life expansion. After my Sim had finished their semester they tried to return home and I was met with the Missing Objects Warning: Some objects could not be loaded and were replaced. The UI is completely blank, no sims, no money etc. The house my sim and her family were in is still there with the extension I built, however her family is not there or in the UI. I've also tried her dropping out of university instead of travelling home when the semester ends however the same thing happens. If I go to edit town and then back out of it, it takes me to the game setup page as if I have opened a new file to make a new save with new family etc. My family is in my library however how they started where the sim I had at university is a child I have tried the following steps found on another forum post: Empty out your sims' inventories as much as is reasonable. Having a few items is fine, but not much more. Save the game immediately before you want your sims to travel. Exit to the Main Menu and lower all the graphics settings to the minimum. Turn off the in-game shopping experience and the interactive loading screens as well, then quit to desktop. Delete the five cache files in your user folder (listed above) again. Take your computer completely offline. You can sign in and put Origin in offline mode before disconnecting your computer and launching the game. Disable the Origin in-game overlay as well. Load the game, and once the clock has run for a few sim-minutes, send your sims traveling right away. Once they arrive in their destination, use "save as" to rename the save, then quit. If you want, you can first exit to the Main Menu and raise the graphics settings again, but be sure to quit to desktop before reloading the save. However this has not worked, still getting the missing items warning. I have also tried creating a clean The Sims 3 folder in the Electronic Arts folder and copying my save into the new folder. Hasn't worked. Also tried resetSim * and resetSim mysimsname, hasn't worked. I have the following installed: Expansions: World Adventures Ambitions Late Night Generations Pets Seasons University Life Island Paradise Stuff Packs: High End Loft Town Life Outdoor Living Master Suite I did have the following NRaas Mods however have tried removing them after the first couple times of this bug. Even with mods removed it still happens: Story Progression & Story Progression Extra Woohooer More Toddler Interactions I have no custom content! Let me know if you need any other info about my game, thanks in advance :)63Views0likes1CommentI WANT A REFUND.
I have bought the Sims 3 on the 27th along with 10 packs thinking it would be as smooth and easy Sims 4. This game is unplayable!!! I have done all the troubleshooting on your website and with Chat gpt, 7 hours troubleshooting, it doesn't matters how many files cache are deleted, how many times I repaired it, how many times I have unistalled it and installed it, how many Microsoft processing systems I have downloaded, IT. DOESN'T. WORK!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!! I will just go back to the Sims 4 l, with the money I can buy more packs. I thought the Sims 3 would be fun 'cause it has more things than the Sims 4, but oh my Lord, the headache it has gave me these nights of troubleshootings is not worthy, please refund me for the unplayable game you EA have sold me. Very frustrated and hoping someone can help me. I have contacted support many times and my cases get open then closed right after and no resolutions or responses. So i have been playing sims since the 1st one came out and noticed on the ea app is missing 3 of my packs Hidden Springs, Monte Vista and Barnacle Bay. I always redeemed the codes throught thesims3.con and never had an issue. when i open the ea app all transfered over but these 3. They show online that i have them as well. I keep all my codes and tried to enter it on the ea app it says valid but says i need to go to thesims3.com I do so and then i get the code is already used. I only have one sims email account. I was told to go online and download the worlds I am not sure how i can do that because flash was discontinued. I would love to be able to purchase and redownload the stuff i already had to the game but right now im just working on getting my packs back. support tells me they wont help me i would need to rebuy them which i dont feel is right i own them they just never transered over. so is there any way i can get these to register to the ea app so i dont mess up and rebuy them?
