Game Codes from Amazon

So I recieved an amazon gift card for Christmas, which I wanted to buy a new Sims game with. I have an 11" Macbook Air which doesn't have a disk reader so I prefer buying downloadable versions of any software.

On Amazon, they offer online game codes (from EA) but it doesn't specify whether it's compatible for Mac or not. Would I still be able to download a game for Mac using that code? Seeing as I would have essentially bought the software anyway? I'm assuming that in order to install, I would have to enter the product code and then download through Origin anyway.

    Yes. There's one PC/MAC version (which means that Sims 3 isn't native to macs). You can redeem the amazon bought code on Origin and then download it via the Origin client: http://origin.com/download

    Do make sure if your OS is supporting the Origin client before buying.
