Game crashing
My game is crashing from 10 to 10 seconds. What do I do? I have all expansions and all stuff packs. Please, help me. DXDIAG: ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of...
I updated the nvidia drivers and tested the game. For the first 10 minutes it was fine, then it started to crash again, like before. It crashes in simulation mode.
This problem never happened with me, but look what happened: I had another computer and I changed for this configuration less than a month. Last week I installed all the sims (expantion and stuff packs) and bought the movie stuff pack and into the future expantion and installed as well, updated the game for the 1.63.5 version and tryed to play. At first the game was closing when I was at CAS. after the installation of into the future and movie packs, this problem didn't happened again, but the crashes started.
I didn't updated the windows yet.
ps.: sorry about any english mistakes, it's not my usual language.
Is this an existing game you're playing or a fresh one ? If it's existing, how big is the save game folder ?
It's a fresh one and It has 29.5 mb
Are you willing to try a third party tool ? There's a tool called crash log analyzer (just google).
It's not a magic tool that can stop the crashes but it can give an indication to where the error lies. Just copy the errors you get to the clipboard and post them here.
This tool is not supported by EA so you'll be using it at your own risk
I've used the program and this showed up:

Yeah, that's probably cause of your 32 bit Operating system but it should not crash right away on a new game.
Let me check with ford, I'll get back to you.

It might be because the graphics card has 2 GiB of physical memory. DirectX needs to make a shadow copy of the VRAM into the system RAM so there goes 50% of the memory right there. Figure Windows 8 uses 0.5-1.0 GiB of RAM on top of that and there goes another 12.5-25% of the memory. 1-1.5 GiB isn't much room to load all those assets the expansions and stuff packs add, I'm afraid.
Don't know what to recommend. There is a way to have a 32 bit system use more ram but I'm not very confortable recommending it. So if you wanna go their (you must be tech savy and know what you're doing) and try that at your own risk, google UserVA Sims 3. I won't be able to give you any help with it.
The proper way to do it would be to get a 64 bit Operating system.
I'll get a 64 bits system... think it's more safe. This weekend I'll change my system and let you know what happened 🙂
Thank you very much for the help!
Good Luck to you.
I also noticed a not found with the graphic card on the log of CLA.
So you might also wanna try this:
