Game freezing at 2am??
Specs: I run on Windows 7, and I have the Showtime (before the reinstall it was Katy Perry's Showtime), World Adventures, Supernatural, Katy Perry's Sweet Treats, Generations, High-End Loft, Late Night, Outdoor Living, Pets, Seasons, Town Life, (before the uninstall) Island Paradise, and University expansions installed. I also have the following NRAAS mods: SleepFreedom, Woohooer, MasterController, MasterControllerCheats, and DebugEnabler, as well as several CMAR mods and others. I have not updated any computer system specs since long before the issues began.
Up until about two days ago, my game was running completely fine even with all these mods and expansions, save a periodic, temporary freeze that would occur while my sims slept and would eventually work itself out if I hit the pause button; now, the game freezes completely every time my sims sleep, usually at or around 2am game time, to such a degree that I have to either turn off my computer or ctrl+alt+delete. I went through the diagnostic process of turning off custom content (downloads, anyway), and discovered that the problem persisted; I deleted several of my latest-installed mods from the folder and restarted the game, but still had the same problem. I finally backed up my fles and went through the hassle of uninstalling and reinstalling the games, but the issue continues. The problem continued to be rooted to something screwy in my mods folder. I did some searching and found out that other people who have a similar issue found that it stemmed from faulty NRAAS mods. I deleted all of my NRAAS mods and restarted the game and a bizarre thing has happened: my sim has no picture, and I cannot switch from her to the cat because the images on the left-hand side meant for that purpose have diappeared. She also cannot select the bed to sleep on it. I assumed this was an issue with SleepFreedom, so I reintalled the NRAAS mods to attempt to fix the problem, but now it seems that the panels are stuck that way, even though I haven't saved since the issue began. So now, not only is the game freezing at the same time every night with every saved game I play (and new games as well), but now my panels have been messed up; the game has become unplayable. I have installed the NRAAS Overwatch, because many people who have this issue have recommended it, as it fixed their issues. I had used Overwatch before, and when I thought about it, even though it was annoying to receive multiple messages for every sim day, my game ran at its best when I had it installed. I will update my results tomorrow and I will also be giving EA Support a phone call in the morning, but in the meantime, does anyone else know of any other way to resolve this issue? Side note: the freezing is not particular to one world either; it happens in all of them.
Update: Overwatch seemed to have no effect on my saved game; it continues to freeze. Will start a new game with Overwatch installed to see if there is any change, and next will try installing a program that limits background processes. Still searching for an alternative repair as I have grown attached to the sim in another of my saved games and I would absolutely HATE to have to start all over, as I have made a lot of progress with him. If a repair cannot be made, Sims 3 will remain unplayable and I will have no choice but to uninstall Sims 3 completely until a fix is found.

Update: After playing around with the settings on Overwatch (namely changing the "alarms" to pop up at 1am, before the problem occurs), it seems the problem has been solved; the freezing seems to have stopped, for now. My next issue is replacing some of the custom content I had adorned on my sim previous to the problem beginning, as it has seemingly vanished. Her panels have also returned.
