@TylerHowell17 Try reinstalling DirectX 9, which Sims 3 uses. You don't need to reinstall anything; just download the installer from Microsoft and run it. Restart your computer afterwards.

If that doesn't help, please remove options.ini from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. The game will create a new file with default options. Load it to the Main Menu, change the graphics options you want, quit to desktop, launch the game, and see whether it works.
If you still get a crash, please move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop and test. Again, change the settings at the Main Menu and quit to desktop before loading a new save.
@TylerHowell17 The fact that your new save works fine, and some of your old saves do too, strongly suggests that the issue is your saves or some other game content, not your system, so that's good.
Have you tried loading one of your existing saves in the clean Sims 3 folder yet? That would be my next suggestion: copy over a save, but don't add anything else to the clean folder. Since you'll be testing a copy of the save, with the original still intact in the old user folder, you don't need to worry about the effects of missing mods or cc.
Please also let me know which mods you use (just a list, no links). If there are any adult-themed mods, you can just name their creator instead, to keep within this site's rules about discussing content that raises the game's rating. The reason I ask is because some mods can do permanent damage to a save.
@TylerHowell17 Do you get any scripterrors to go along with the crashes? They'd be in the Sims 3 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts. If you do, the people at NRaas would be much better equipped to interpret them and let you know what looks broken; I have only a rudimentary ability to read them.
What I would suggest though, if you can get an older save loaded for at least a little while, is to run an MC town reset. Then use "save as" to rename the save (so you keep the original as a backup), quit, delete the cache files, reload, and see how things go. For reference, the cache files are:
Save often, pay attention to what's happening in-game. If you get another crash, I'd like to know what was on-screen, what time of sim-day it was, etc. This is especially relevant if you can duplicate the crashes under some particular set of circumstances.
