Game won't install store content

We recently upgraded to Windows 8 and in the process, I had to reinstall my sims games.  I recently discovered that I also had to reinstall my store content!  The problem is, every time I try to install, it doesn't show up in the game.  I've tried downloading from the launcher and in-game from the downloads dashboard.  I tried someone's suggestion of moving files/deleting, etc. but didn't have any luck with that.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  (and I'm not a computer genius, so please make it easy to understand :womanhappy: )  Thanks!

Oh, and I just installed a new patch, so the game is (supposedly) up-to-date.
