Game won't run

YugiStardustITA​  The old way to install .NET Framework 3.5 is through Windows, and it may still work on your computer.  Click Windows key-R, enter appwiz.cpl in the run box, click "Turn Windows features on or off," and the .NET runtimes will be near the top of the list.  Click the empty box next to 3.5 to install it, and restart your computer.  If it's already installed, clicking the filled-in box will uninstall it; you'd restart before reinstalling the runtime.

If that doesn't work, you can download the installer from Microsoft:

Both these options will ask me to download 3.5 through windows update and cause the same error :(

YugiStardustITA​  Then run a repair install of Windows.  This isn't wiping your system, just refreshing the OS files and hopefully replacing a corrupt file somewhere that's triggering the error.
