Since it's a Nvidia card, try starting the GForce experience and set the game up to be optimzed there. Then try starting it through the experince to see if that works.
Is it alright if the optomized settings are higher then what I currently have?
With the card you have, you should get maxed settings. Since the game didn't recognize your card, it just put something so yes, it's totally fine if it's maxed out.
Check if you can play if from there now.
