Geforce 760 GTX Not Recognized
I just got a Nvidia Geforce 760 GTX put into my machine and i have been getting some crappy preformance from sims 3 and a pop up saying my graphics card isn't recognized. I looked in my device config...

It should be dedicated It's not like a chipset. At least i dont think.
well, your DXDiag, That guy Paul who's thread you were also posting in has intergraded and so does mine. My Nvidia conrtol panel states I have Dedicated video memory 3072mb (3gb) GDDR5, then it states system video memory 0. Shared System memory 7894mb. (8gb) but my system has 16 gb ram????? WT????
It should read 0. 0 is saying that your graphics card has it's own dedicated memory for use and therefore will not allocate system video memory.
if it is supposed to read 0 than why are our DxDiag's reading intergraded. This is part of your dxdiag on page 2 and mine reads the same way. I spoke to Nvidia and they told me our DxDiag should not read intergraded and ASUS is givingme excuses because I spoke to them again.

I don't know! LOL Im guessing right now that what Im reading is the screen and our card maybe intergraded? We need roberta591 to read this DxDiag! roberta591 if your on please read the intergraded issue on page 2 where the DxDiag is and tell us if this intergraded issue has to do with our screens and no our cards that are supposed to be dedicated. TY!
Zack intergraded does say display device so Im going to go with it means screen at the moment.
If I recall correctly the issues with sims sort of coincided when i updated the drivers right after i got my computer. Rolling them back didn't work so maybe this is the cause.
I think it's just the game. It's really hot here so Im not in the mood to play but I will later actually start a game and let you know how it plays. I will put Island Paradise in the game but will not play IP and see if my screen lag gets worse than it already is just having that ep in my computer
I Havent even put in IP yet just added dragon valley and roaring heights. The screen is so shaky LOL. I can only predict what will happen with IP. Going to download now!!
Im shocked. IP is one of the less shaky worlds for me.???!!!!!! I havent tested roaring heights yet but dragon valley was shaky even on the automated intro into the town
Thats exactly like me. IP is smooth like butter for the most part. If you have Uni go the that world, It is by far the WORST.
Zack that is the only EP I don't own. I played Uni in the sims 2 so I did not want it for 3. I have all ep's installed accept uni and pets. I own pets but have not played it. Do you have world adventures? They claim it conflicts with Uni. I like world adventures better than Uni. I have not tried to travel yet but traveling into the future and in world adventures I had no problem on my old computer. Im going to try and play for a few hours today and see how it goes.Ill report back later.
And strange that IP works on the 760 and 770 card, but two people in here with windows 8.1 and the 780 card IP does not work for them
Um okay I was playing when i reliazed that a great deal of textures look really pixelated. Mostly plain walls and skins and they look awful. Also how do i post images?

Looking back at some of my older screens i see the same thing, i just never really noticed it before. Is that how its supposed to look?
i'll upload a of pics in a mo so you can see mine to compare i have for the sims themselves in options high detail and texture detail medium

Your walls and sims have it too. It seems to be worse in the dark.
