Right. Someone said the cause of that is a mysterious negative moodlet that is actually invisible in the UI. You get it when you get a Fully Rested moodlet on a cheap bed, but it doesn't go away. It also compounds every time your Sims get that Fully Rested moodlet on a cheap bed, which is how some people get the Bad Mood bug.
The only cure for it for a while was to save, quit, and reset. A few players used it as a visual indicator to save their game regularly, so it wasn't that big of a deal for a lot of people that knew how it worked.
