@squiggyorb: You will need to post that in the technical section. I can't help you with that.
@DarkLady55: You get many files if you download from the exchange. You might have something bad in there that crashes your game or makes it slow. To remove all that stuff and test with out, go to your documents folder and find a folder called DCCache. There are files in there that have the extension *.dbc and *.ebc. EBC is store content, DBC is third party content. Move all files *.dbc to your desktop (or some other place) and try without. Best is to start a new game for if you try on an existing one and used any cc you had from the exchange, it will be gone.

For Gen there is also a new exe in your base game folder called ts3w.exe that needs to be added as well.
