I sent my adult sims on the free vacation so my sim could throw her teen party, and it's now been 5 days and the adults haven't returned.
after the first day a pop up came up saying "uh oh! the parents are coming home early!" and now one of the sims icons isn't grey anymore, it's green, but his picture isn't there, i can't click the box where it should be, and the two other adults still grey and unavailable. it's said that the car pool is arriving for the sim who's icon is green, but not the other two adults. When i hover over the two other adults it says they're on a free vacation but it doesn't say anything about the one who's supposedly home.
I'm not running any mods.
