Take out all your mods. They have changed a lot and you never know what affects back. Once you have done so (and deleted your cache files), check your game and if the problem persists, report back
Deleting my cache files and seems to have done the trick, but I'll keep testing. Thanks :)
Having the same issue as fuehrer315 above: My sims went to Egypt and purchased a vacation home. When they got back the home was no longer theirs and they had the same household funds as when they left. I had this issue occur with mods uninstalled and caches cleared.
