Genie will NOT resurrect my sim!

Okay so I was playing and I had my sim named Sam fall in love with a game-made sim named Samuel Dickins who was a magician and during a sim fest he somehow managed to kill himself in his magic act, so I made my sim get a magic lamp with her lifetime points to bring him back.

I have the tombstone at my home lot, and for like 7 sim days he just stayed at my house doing normal sim stuff, although sometimes he'd deny romantic interactions with her. Anyway, he didnt go back into his grave for ages but then he just walked over to the road, got in one of those sloppy jalopy cars and drove off! I havent seen the ghost since and its been about 2 sim weeks.

Now, when i finally got the lamp i wished to resurrect him and the option was there and it let me select Samuel Dickins as who i want to resurrect but once i click okay the action just disapears. Nothing happens, it just deletes it like i never said to do it. And i've tried hundreds of times but it doesnt work. He's able to grant other wishes (I tested by wishing for more wishes) and that worked but every SINGLE TIME i wish to have samuel resurrected, it doesnt work, it just poofs away.

I dont understand why this is happening, is it because the ghost went away? How can i get the ghost to come back, i've searched where he used to live and where he died and the graveyard and my home every night when she goes to sleep but i never find him.

How can i make the genie grant my wish because its really annoying.

Also, i dont know if this is important, but when she used to mourn at his grave, his image would be all grey and stuff but now when she mourns his picture is completely coloured exactly how he used to be, but when i'm selecting who i want to resurrect, his picture is all grey again.

PLEASE HELP ME! Is it because he drove away, if so how can i get him back? the grave is still at my home but i cant even put it in my inventory because it says its in use (by samuel dickins.) And how can i make the genie grant my wish! PLEASE HELPPP
