HALP! Sims 3 has stopped working....... again.....

Hello!

I am DESPERATE to play sims so if someone could help me figure this out, I would be very grateful!! I can see that people have posted their computer specs to figure out where they're going wrong so I'm going to do the same.

I recently installed Sims 3 onto my new desktop computer, It's a HP Pavilion 500 with a Radeon Dual Graphics Card I think about a Sim's day worth of time goes by, so usually around ten minutes, then it crashes, goes back to my desktop screen and says "Sims 3 has stopped working". This is so frustrating!! It's like Groundhog Day and I am Bill Murray. Someone please help me! Because when I bought this computer I specifically asked if it could handle sims and it's expansion packs and they said yes without an issue!

    Keep in mind when you look at specs, game will play better on a desktop than a laptop. Those specs I posted are for desktop. Laptops wont perform as well because they are all in one unlike a desktop.

    Hi, it is a desktop that I am using.

    I downloaded them all from Origin, as I only just got proper internet for my computer once we moved into our house.  So I got the following;

    High End Loft Stuff

    Late Night

    Ambitions

    and I've got World Adventures but not installed that one yet!

    I have sims medieval on my computer too but that runs fine and always has.

    It's really strange and I'm not sure how to resolve it.

    The crashing has been happening since I tried playing it for the first time on the 16th so I don't know if one single expansion pack could be affecting it.

    Do you think it could be that my graphics card isn't recognised??

    Thank you for responding by the way!!
