Having so many problems with Island Paradise! Help!

So I have no mods one. NONE. Nada. Zero. And I am having problems snorkeling, every time I tell my sim to go snorkel she gets into the water and then a little bubble with an a red cross through it ap...

Also my sim can't take any photos. I keep telling her to and the camera thing comes up and I take the picture but then nothing happens. I had her take 10 pictures and no skill point, no "your sims has descovered a new type of photo" or whatever. Nothing.
