@flame24685656 What was the message when the code wouldn't take? Is your computer a pc or mac? What is the version of your operating system?

@flame24685656 Do you have Origin installed? If you have Origin installed, does the game appear in Origin? Windows 10 does NOT support SecuROM and SafeDisc. If you have Windows 10 the game needs to be at version 1.69 (which removes SecROM) and the game needs to authenticate with Origin. Once the game is patched to version 1.67 and the game appears in Origin (Origin may pick up the game automatically) the game will patch to version 1.69. Reboot the computer and the game should play.
If you are getting the code in invalid you are probably entering the code wrong - if you are getting the code is already in use then the code is already registered.
- Anonymous10 years agoYes I do have origin and and yes the game appears on origin. That's how I launch the game. How do you update the game because I remember there used to be a button at the bottom of the The Sims 3 launcher that said update but that's long gone. Sorry I meant to put the code is already in use.

@flame24685656 Try right clicking the game icon in Origin and click check for updates.
