your sims daughter is the university town going to university ? university is a subhood (much like the world adventures expansion pack ) sims travel to uni for a sim week or two depending on how long you set the semester for if you want your sim daughter to talk to the family back home click on the parent or friend in the friends list option chat or text you can either finsh the term at uni and get the degree to return home back to your homeworld wher ut'll pick up where you left off or have the sim use the phone to drop out of uni to go back home to the home world , basically you only have control of your sim at uni and get control back over all your sims when the daughter finishs uni or drops out
