House Acting Like a Shop

I'm so confused. I've worked really hard to build and decorate my house. We have Sims 3 Supernatural, which is what I'm currently playing on, but we also have the Expansion Pack for Late Night, just for the additional stuff you get with it. We haven't even played that town. We play in Midnight Hollow.

I've bought out and become partners with a lot of the businesses in town. I added in the Elixir Consignment Shop, so as to have a place to sell my alchemy products, and then bought out the store, so I own it.

Since I've started buying out and becoming partners with the businesses in town, I've had the problem that furniture in my house is now buyable. I will click on my bed to go to sleep, and there will be the option to buy the bed. There will be options to browse and to set sales and all sorts of things. I'm not sure if this is a by-product of living directly across the street from a shop I own, or what, but it's very frustrating, and I'd like to know how to make it stop. I don't want other sims coming in and buying my furniture! I also don't want those options popping up every time I do something.

Basically, my house is acting like it's a shop, and I don't know why. I've gone into world editor and made sure my house is marked as a residential place, and it is. I don't know what to do. Someone please help me? This is very frustrating.

  • with the midnight hollow which inculdes the savy sellers  which inculdes rugs for selling items if you placed those savy sellers items  rugs, pedestals and shelvesm oh  and a parking space one which cars can be sold from so if those items are in your your home then that would explain the selling of home items

I bet that's it. I didn't realize putting those rugs in my house would allow items to be sold if items were placed on those rugs. I will try this and hope it fixes my problem. Thank you so much!!!
