How do i download sims 3

@mzang4 download and install the Origin client software - link to installer - download Origin installer - Once you have Origin installed you need to create an account if you don't already have an account. You can purchase Sims 3 through Origin or a third party vendor. If you buy Sims3 through a third party you will need to redeem the product code. Click Origin in the upper left of the Origin window. Click redeem code. You do not have to redeem code if you purchase through Origin as it will be redeemed automatically into the Origin game library of the account used at that time. Click My game library. The game icon should appear in the library. You may have to wait some time (I would expect no more then an hour) or you may have to click Games in the upper left of the Origin window and click reload game library. When the game icon appears in the my game library it should say download. When you click download the game should download and install. The download is large and depending on how fast your internet connection is the download may take some time. Once installed the game will patch to version 1.69 (another download). At this point the base game should be ready the play and you can redeem packs and download them if you have any. This may sound complicated but it really isn't. The hard part is waiting to download.

You can install from disc but you need to install Origin either way. When you install from disc you need to download and install the version 1.67 super patch. If Origin doesn't register the game automatically (it may or may not detect the game install) you will need to redeem the code and let Origin patch the game to version 1.69.

This is the pc version - the mac may install differently but should be close to the same way. You may have to inquiry in the sims mac forum.
