How do I start playing sims 3 on my mac?

I've succesfully installed Sims 3, now i'm not sure where to go from here?

Whenever I put the disk in, and click on the icon, it goes to the installation page. There is no "play" icon?

I have a mac by the way

    Put the disc in then close the window that pops up. It's an automatic installer window, you can just ignore it.

    Your game should be in your Applications folder, in another folder called The Sims 3. Just double click the game icon.
