How do you change world's in the sims 3? and saving issues

I just recently bought the sims 3 Monte Vista and installed it to my computer.  It says that I can access the Monte Vista world from the main menu of the sims 3 base game, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.  Does anyone know how I can switch worlds so that I can play in Monte Vista?  I'd surely appreciate the help.  Oh, and I'm having some issues when it goes to save the game.  Whenever I say save, or save and quit, sometimes an error box will pop up, and say the sims 3 has stopped working, telling me that it's forcing itself to close.  Does anyone know what the problem could be?  Any information would be great.

    when you game starts up on the main screen (the one where you click your game to play ) there is a +new game click that a drop down menu will show with the world/s you have then just  click the world you want to play with tick accept and off you go also if you have your sims saved to the libiary you can just choose them to play with in your game or make new sims added allink to images if you need it
