How many saved games can you load in sims 3

You can only play one saved game at a time.

I should clarify what I meant.  What is the limit to the amount of saved games you can have loading to the game?  I ask because some of my saved games were not showing up in the launcher (I had over 200 saved games) but when I looked in the Sims 3 folder Saves, my saved files were there.  I created a Saved Games folder outside of the Sims 3 folder, categorized all my saved files by the name of the town, and moved all my saved games there.  I move back only the towns I want to play.  This way I only have between 25-30 games loading.  Found the problem with the game stop working is less.  At least now I can play longer than 1 hour but it still is a pain to move files back and forth.
