How the feck do I add new bars to my existing neighbourhoods?

Bought The Sims 3 on the Steam sale, played it for a bit and decided I'd get the first expansion, Nightlife or whatever the feck it is called. I'm starting to think it was a waste of money, and I was...

go to world edit and edit the buildings and put the new bars if you are too lazy to do that then in world edit add the night life venues if you are too lazy to do that then play in bridgeport.
