There are usb dvd drives but installing TS3 that way requires you to have the usb drive connected to play the game. You can get the digital download version (free) with the disc code. You need to download Origin - link - Origin and below the orange button click download for mac. Intall Origin and register the game/pack and then you should be able to download and install the games.

@luciaxkrohn The disc code is the 20-character code that you use to install the base game or a pack. You can find it printed on the back of the insert that came inside your CD case.

Hey! I have a MacBook Air and I recently bought the sims 3. I purchased online and got a code to put in to Origin. I did this and entered that code and the download was fine, but every single time I try to install the game onto Origin I get a error message. I do not have any virus scanner downloaded and I have restarted and rebooted my game multiple times. It would be appreciated if you could get back soon, thanks.
