Thank you for the wonderful information Blunote! Just curious, may I ask what you use to check the contents of downloads?
Re-posting this from one of my earlier post.
Sorry I don't have any corrupt CC but if I did it would show red in the scan.

Added links to both tools: Link to the Dashboard Tool and link to the Custard Tool on MTS.
Delphy's Dashboard Example
This is a .rar and you have to extract the executable (.exe) and the other files that go with the program. I have them in my downloads folder where I have all my CC sorted by location. You can see that in the left navigation panel. I'm using Vista. Note: I just updated this as there was a new version and I haven't cleaned up the other mess yet.

I have clicked on the executable and the program has scanned my Mods/Packages folder showing all the .packages files I have. As you can see I got lot of hair. :-)

Since I don't have anything corrupt, I added another car from FPC to make a duplicate so it will highlight yellow. I can delete one of them because I don't need two. However, if I did have corrupt files, I could click to sort them all and then try to fix them all. Either they will be fixed or can't be... then it's goodbye CC!

Custard Example
This program also is a .rar and will need to be extracted. Same thing applies as above. I personally like keeping things organized.

I just click on store CC so you can see that all a .sims3pack file is, is just a bunch of .package files. It will let you see all the files in a .sims3pack file (i.e. houses you upload or download). You can see all the content that comes with that file. If anything is corrupt, it will show red just like in dashboard. You can click on it to fix it then save it if it does. If it doesn't you can remove that part of the content or just elect to not download the file altogether.
