I had custom content working fine from the start but in September, my hard drive crashed and I had to start over. I've done everything several times but I could not get my package files to show up. I have been installing custom content and mods since the original game, so I know I can follow simple instructions to make it work. Nothing worked for me until last night. I hadn't even played the game in over a month but I became anxious because Late Night was sitting on store shelves and I didn't have a game that I enjoyed so I left it there. To make matters worse, my ISP doesn't reach modthesims, so it's difficult to get to the other tutorials and guides. I'd downloaded monkey bars and some other things that I really wanted from there on a friend's connection and this weekend, I gave up and tried monkey bars. Still, nothing from the package files showed up. I bought late night and installed it. Still nothing from my package files. Last night, I came back to this post, installed yet another resource.cfg and at all, I have all my hairs and things!!!! Thank God that this is a short work week, because I can now go about populating my empty new game and get some quality sim time in! I don't know what the difference was this time around because I know I'd done everything right the other times but between monkey bars and this particular resource.cfg, it finally kicked in and worked for me!
