How to Move Inventory to New Sim?

I'm playing Sims3 World Adventures. My world traveler is getting to be very old and will die soon. SHE LIVES ALONE and I'm worried that once she dies, all her inventory will be lost (including the boulder smasher from China that I worked so hard to get!) How do I pass inventory items from my loner, single sim to a neighbor or new Sim so I can continue my adventures with the same inventory, but with a new Sim?? I've tried creating a new Sim, but it doesn't seem like I can move her into the same household to create a family inventory. I've also tried moving inventory items into neighbor houses, but it won't let me. It is also too late to build a relationship and marry since I only have a few Sim days left (not to mention, I can't find anyone who is single). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
