How to place barn doors on buildings?

I am trying to build a farm but I cannot figure out why I can't place the arch door on the building please help I've also looked on youtube because normally they have a few videos on how to do lot's ...

I figured it out what you do is be sure that your building has 2 levels and then you place your floor pattern down on the second floor and delete a few of the tiles for the size and the space of the barn door arch and that will help solve the issue.
