Huge glitch problem

I really wish I could easily explain this. Lately, I've been having problems with my sim family. I have two save files and in one of them, my sim family just stays in one place. They can't be clicked on, they can't be reset, they can't interact. I can click on other surroundings and have them be guided to do something but they don't move to do them. They just stay. their facial expressions are even frozen. They're not 100% frozen cause they move their heads around and they do what they would do when just standing there doing nothing like the evil sim would randomly laugh evilly but her facial expression stays the same and the fairy sim would play with their fairy magic thing where they move their hands around when they're just bored and standing there and sparkly fairy dust would appear. My point is, is that they're frozen but not completely. Also they're both female but their voices have been changed into male voices. Also, their icons on the left are gone and their faces on the bottom menu thing are gone. My other save file, my sims are invisible and again, can't do anything but stand there and do what they do when they just stand there with nothing to do. And again, their icons on the left are gone and their faces on the bottom menu thing are gone. I really don't understand how this happened. I hope what I said makes sense.
