I cancelled EA Plus. I can't buy some expacs because I "own" them, but I don't!

Original title was: I cancelled EA Plus and I can't buy Late Night and High End Loft Stuff because I "Own" them, but I don't own them! (EA character limit is stupid.)

I cancelled my EA Plus plan because it was getting too expensive, low income yadda yadda yadda. My goal was to buy the expacs after I cancelled because that would be cheaper in the long run than just paying for a subscription that charges roughly $40 a year.

I reported the issue, but I don't think EA will actually fix it. What do I do? I cleared the cache and other things. I know this is a bug with the EA app itself, and not the actual game. Do I keep reporting it until it's fixed?
