I cant install my sims 3 university life (mac)

No matter how much i keep trying..it wont install! it says ''please select a volume where the sims 3 is already installed'' but no matter how much i try all the folders dont work! ive looked up simil...

So I discovered the problem, and you might've also by now,

the installer is searching for a file titled "The Sims3.app", but EA programmed the actual game to be "The Sims 3.app".

So go to your Sims 3 folder, and right click on the main icon you click on to play the game, click get info, and under Name & Exension modify it so there's no space between Sims and 3. That way the installer can find the actual file it was programmed to search for.

It should work now!
