I can't install or unistall the Sims 3

I got a new computer and I installed the Sims 3 and 2 expansion packs from my account that I already had. They installed but wouldn't update. I manually updated all of them and it still wouldn't run. I tried uninstalling them and then reinstalling them and I had to manually update them again. It still didn't work. Now when I try to uninstall them error -5005 : 0x80070002 pops up. Please Help.
