I can't install Sims 3 Supernatural on MAC

Hi, 

I just bought the Sims 3 Supernatural expansion pack. I am using a 2012 MacBook Pro and all my sims 3 content has been updated. I did however install Sims 3 Seasons expansion pack before this. Could that be the reason why I can't install Supernatural? First of all when I put the CD rom into my laptop it makes some loading sound but there is nothing that pops up on my desktop and a few seconds later the CD ejects itself. 

Please help.
