I have tried everything! My display for in game wont come out of dim/dark screen

Please help me just recently my game has started showing in a dim/dark screen.

When i launch the game the window skips to the side and then focuses and it's dark. I've tried using windowed mode but it goes back to full screen, I've tried closing the processor, clicking compatibility. Everthing. I think I may uninstall.

I am on Windows 8 too. I hate windows 8 -.-
