I RECEIVE ERROR MESSAGES # 04 AND # 08. HOW DO I RESOLVE THESE ERRORS?

Since the installment of the Sims 3 base game, ambitions and university life I keep receiving ERROR MESSAGES # 04 AND # 08 every time I open the Sims launcher. How can these errors be resolved?
