I'm having problems with The Sims 3 Master Suite Stuff pack

 I have all the expansions and stuff packs with exception to the Disel stuff pack. I even have a few towns and sets from the Sims 3 website. When I tried to install the Master Suite stuff pack it went well, until I my game crashed and seemed to uninstall the Master Suite stuff pack on its own. After, I had changed clothing for some of my sims. When I restarted my game it said it was unable to find installed items and changed their outfits. 

  Before this, I had been getting error 12 messages everytime I play (about an hour into game play, despite having saved about every 10 minutes or so) I put in a question about it and have done everything I was told to do but it still does it, could that be why the Master Suite stuff pack is having issues? I tried uninstalling it but I cannot find it in my uninstall/install programs, so I just keep installing it, in hopes the next time it will take.

  I also wanted to add that my husband is very knowledgable about computers and has tried multiple things to help with error 12 issues.
