I built a winter garden for my plants and have them all indoors. The new planter bowls make that very easy.
The zombies are gathering around my house and complain that they cannot come in now. Which is quite funny to be honest.
Another method is to create a fence around the garden, place a gate on the fence, and lock the gate for everyone but you sim or its household.
