Insufficient graphics capability

My game has been crashing off and on for a while, so I got the crash analyzer and it says Insufficient graphics capability. I have and nvidia gt 745m. Is this not good enough? If so, I'm going to be really upset.

More info about my laptop: Intel Core i7-4500U cpu @ 1.8 GHz  2.40 GHz

Installed memory: 8.00 GB (7.89 usable)

System type: 64-bit operating system, x64 based processor

just googled and it seems people can play with your card. do you have vsync on? nvidia control panel under 3d settings vertical sync set as adaptivve this game has no fps limiter which could be your problem which vsync will fix

What windows version do you have?

I have v sync on, and I've also disabled dep for the game. I'm at a loss as to what could be the problem. ☹️  I have windows 8.1.

does your nvidia control panel accept the TS3W file?

To get to the TS3W file  . computer C, to programfilesx86, to origin games file, to the sims 3 file, to game file, to the bin file. YEA! Bin file is where you will find the TS3W file. Do this while your in Nvidia control panel under 3D settings and get the control panel to accept the TS3W file.

here are other people having problems with nvidia cards and windows 8.1 with this game. No reason. These are people with the 780 card

Im on windows 8 with 770 card and no problems.

try removing the mods frist see if the issue stops. If that does not work, try uninstalling ep's one at a time and testing the game with each ep you uninstall. Start with the newest release uninstalling and work your way backward. I just did this the opposite. I did a clean install testing out each ep one at a time

    Ok, I'll try that.

the newer ep's need probably higher end graphics so removing those first might help you pinpoint the problem. I would think it would be the more demanding Ep/s like pets, into the future, Island Paradise and seasons. That would cause your video card issue before the others.

I would revoke DEP to default settings. DEP fix no longer applies and it can make you system unstable.
