@fathergrimm: Same corruption error we saw in WA and Uni. Only solution I know is to use traveler: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2013/03/sim-not-arriving-at-university.html or http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/03/bug-missing-sims-and-empty-ui-when-arriving-in-vacation-town.html
I'll add it to the first page.
@natashaspy55: That usually happens with those files. They just recreate.
Try the factory reset on the first page and if it doesn't help, it's better to post in the technical section of this forum.
@janvel831: I think it's probably just a patching process fluke. Report back if it happens again.
@CaySedaiSim: Classical signs of corrupted games. Check the first page on what to do if you want to save the game or just start a new one as you said.
