it says i need to upgrade but how do i do that

you need a sim that has the handy skill to upgrade the UFO i think the skill mayneed to be lvl 7... if you have an alien he/she already has the handy skill just click on the UFO and the options are there to updrade to lazer cannons ,upgrade space travel
